Night of the Full Moon Santa Barbara 1970

On the Night of June 21st 1970 a Young Couple left their home with a blanket to go to the beach to lie under the moonlight " we won't be gone long" Sandra said as they left the Garcia home. College Student Sandra Garcia 20 and Fiance John F Hood 24 a decorated Vietnam Vet were taken by surprise.

Their bodies were discovered the following day under their Blanket, both had been beaten and repeatedly stabbed with a bone handled knife Police found at the scene. Sandra was mutilated beyond all recognition, John had been stabbed 11 times in face and back.

This murder speaks GSK to me, the brutality and of course the covering of the bodies with a blanket is a big indicator. Due to the ways in which this killer chose to kill it can be difficult to get a direct M.O that never strays but i think that is why Zodiac/GSK eluded investigators over the years.
