It's been a crazy few weeks and I thought I should upload all the work I have done so far as I now think that Joseph DeAngelo may not be the Zodiac after all, I haven't ruled him out it's just I have come across another suspect which I have to discount. I have been having many discussions with Reddit users this week on the issue of Paradise and the Slaves Zodiac wanted for his afterlife. Since the decoding of the Z340 Paradise intrigued me all the more and when I found the Town of Paradise I was quite stunned that a place in California was called Paradise, not only that but the Town at one point in time was spelled Paradice just as Zodiac had named it. I thought it too much of a coincidence and got to work this is what I have found.

Was Zodiac leading us to Paradise Flats?
So I'd put up a post asking your thoughts if Paradice actually referred to the Town of Paradise in California and I found something intriguing about the Little List Letter where Zodiac says "All children who are up in dates and implore you with implatt" or "All children who are up in dates and implore you with im platt" I found out that Platt can refer to a mining operation as well as meaning flat or a Lodge/Shed which could give a clue to Paradise Flat Paradise Flat (also, Paradise) is a former settlement and mining camp in Butte County, California, United States. It was located on Butte Creek halfway between Helltown and Whiskey Flat.[1] I thought it interesting that Helltown is close by, think there's anything there, any ideas? Found this pic of Gold Nugget Day in Paradise 1959, what struck me was how the P's were written on the photograph's description, is it just me or did Z do his P's like this? link to website below.
A user on Reddit u/Mr??? had posted a question regarding Zodiac's July 19th 1978 Letter about his Scotch Tape he sent to the San Fran Chronicle. It isn't a letter I had come across before so took a look, this is what it states
"I am the Zodiac and I am in control of all things. I am going to tell you a secret. I like friction tape. I like to have it around in case I need to truss someone up in a hurry....I have my real name on a small metallic tape. You see while you have it in your possession, I want you to know it belongs to me and you think I may have left it accidentally. I am athletic. It could be swim fins, or a piece of scuba gear. But maybe you play chess with me. I have several cheap sets in closets all over. I have my name on the bottom of the lid of the scotch tape....My tape is waiting for me all over California. Do you know me? I am the ZODIAC and I am in control"
I found it interesting that Zodiac should hint at his name being on the lid of the Scotch Tape Tin so I went looking at vintage Tins etc and found that Scotch Tape was made by a Company called 3M The Minnesota Mineral Company who were based in Maplewood, a suburb of St Paul, Minnesota.
There's always been the contention of whether Paul Stine was killed At Washington & Maple Street or Washington on Cherry Street. maybe Z was saying Paul was killed at Maple?.
So it got me thinking about his name Paul seemed too obvious and I thought about looking into mixing the letters about and then thought no leave it there, get looking to Paradise.
So I did a search on Paradise finding the above photo and website, after reading and pondering on the photo one of the names caught my eye Luther but I couldn't make out the second name, so I thought lets search anyway, Luther in Paradise and what do you know I got a hit right away. His name was Luther Sage Yellowstone Kelly an American Adventurer & Hunter, he was a well known man with friends in high places as well as being friend to the Native Americans once meeting with Sitting Bull.
Turns out that Luther Sage Yellowstone Kelly spent the last 15 years of his life in Paradise, at one point during his military career he was sent to St Paul Minnesota, which I though oh!!
could Z have been saying his name was Kelly? or referring to the Old West Cowboy possibly.
My journey didn't end there though, after discussing several subjects with Reddit users I really felt there was something there in Paradise. Could Z have been leading us here all along?
Before I go further I have been reading so much material of late, much of which has been looking at old High School & College Yearbooks, searching faces, names, anything to shake the tree as such and I felt I had to see more of Paradise. I knew from my research that the spelling of Paradice as Zodiac had spelled it was from an old Railway Map circa 1900 so thought I'd start looking back through the maps and I've found something really curious. Looking around the Map which I will put up here with links was the first I'd looked at and is dated from 1953 to 1980. I was taken aback by the names I was finding so I posted it to Reddit asking users for their help in confirming if I was on the right track or not.
I think there could be something here but I am not that great with Maps, distance and calculation etc so if anyone has the ability and time to do this I would be so grateful.

Old Map of Paradise Halloween Card Reference?
So I have been looking into the Town of Paradise and looking at an Old Map from 1953 to 1980 (have popped links below) I've found something really weird, there are so many areas on this map that relate to Zodiac but what I found most interesting is that Paradise lies on the National Lassen Forest and there is an area called Fourteen Mile House (site) and not far from it is a Lone Pine Lookout, do you think this relates to Donna Lass, the Halloween Card?
Other names on map are
Pine Creek Trail, Doe, Helltown, Maple, Ten Mile House, Grant, Hog Spring, Penstock, Honey Run, Last Chance
On an older Map of 1895 there is a Boness which lies next to the Ten Mile House with 14 Mile House further up, there is also a Four Corners outside of Chico which is in the shape of an X and not far away there is also a town called Sandy, don't know if it means anything really need someone with a brain for maps to know if any of it fits with halloween/pines cards

There is also an interesting photo on Paradise Isn't Lost, It's in Butte County | KQED which shows a man with a Donkey or Ass, remind you of anything like Your Ass is a Dragon, the card Zodiac sent on the 28th April 1970. The Card also reads " I hope you enjoy your selves when I have my Blast, was Zodiac talking about the kind of Blast used in the mines of Paradise and it's surrounding Ghost Towns. It also has an annual festival each year called The Golden Nugget which includes the donkey competition to haul weights from the West Branch of the Feather River Canyon Wall.
Now back to the High School Yearbooks. I have looked at literally thousands of faces but there was one which caught my eye and for legal reasons cannot say who this Person of Interest is but there are several connections just no hard physical evidence and to be honest don't know if there ever will be. At present I am looking into what I have to do legally before posting anymore info at this time.
And so I continue on my journey, I was sure Joseph J DeAngelo was Zodiac but I may be wrong and to be 100% sure I have to ensure I research as thoroughly as I can, if the above Maps & Co ordinates work out the way I'm thinking then I may have a new Zodiac Suspect.
