The Murder of Bobby Domingos and Linda Edwards 1963

Gaviota Beach, Santa Barbara 4th June would be the last day anyone would see Bobby Domingos 18 yrs and Linda Edwards 17 yrs alive. Senior Skip Day saw many Students bask on the Beach that day and Linda & Bobby decided to go to a remoter area of Gaviota beach. Missing for several days Robert's Father went to search the beach and in a ramshackle shed found Linda and Bobby lying together, both tied with several lengths of pre cut cord. It appeared he had asked the girl to tie the male up first but at some point they tried to escape when Robert got loose from his bindings, they were shot by a 22 Calibre weapon. Robert was shot 11 times, Linda 9 times. The Killer had pulled the bodies into the shack and tried and failed to set a fire.

The Killer used Winchester Super X ammunition, 22 Calibre, the same of which was used in Zodiac's 1968/69 murders. It is the use of Pre Cut Cord that the Killer had to have had with him that intrigues me most as we know this to be a large part of GSK's M.O

In 1970 there would be another young couple attacked on the Santa Barbara beach which would be much more vicious in nature

Most of you who know of the GSK's M.O will see the similarities here and I do think this is where GSK possibly started out his crimes. We'll take a look next at the 1970 murder in Santa Barbara.

The thing I found with many of the witness descriptions of GSK is the age was always quite a bit out and hair colour also seemed to be an issue, there are quite a few descriptors though that match both GSK and the Zodiac which peeked my interest, I will go into those in more detail later.
