This is the Zodiac Speaking My Name Is

While researching the Zodiac as well as the Golden State Killer I felt that there was a religious undertone to some of the crimes. I have no idea as to whether Joseph James DeAngelo's house was a religious one, but the use of the word punishment, slaves for the afterlife, the removal of wedding rings in both cases felt important to their motive.

I actually came across the early cases in 1962 and 1963 in relation to the Golden State Killer, I thought these could have been crimes he committed and when I noticed many investigators were linking these cases to Zodiac I wondered why they hadn't looked at DeAngelo as a suspect due to the M.O of the early cases such as the binding, couples, the telephone calls and letters.

It was when reading Zodiac's letter to the San Francisco Chronicle on the 31st July 1969 that I thought he was trying to possibly misdirect investigators away from what he had already given as his true name

Another questions that bugged me also was why Zodiac was so intent that everyone should wear his Zodiac buttons, why should there be punishment for not wearing one? and it occurred to me that Zodiac's name was his Zodiac Symbol and not all the ciphers he had sent, it's possible there are small pieces of information in the ciphers but it would be much harder to gather Zodiac's Identity.

My Name is

So I looked into the Symbolic nature of the Zodiac Symbol and think I may have found the answer.

This is the Zodiac Speaking, my name is The Angel of Death

Astrologists use the Sun Cross to represent Earth, Christians as a symbol of Power, it is also used as a Halo which denotes Saints and Angels who are more powerful than Man. The Angel of Death is also known as the Grim Reaper, Mal-akh-ha-mavet.

You can now see where I am going by connecting Zodiac with the Golden State Killer, he gave his name DeAngelo - The Angel

The same Symbol is also known as a Sun Cross and is used to represent the chief god in Germanic Paganism, Woden, and in Norse Paganism, Odin. Woden and Odin are usually considered to be the same god; famous for being a bit of a trouble-maker and fond of starting wars. His symbol is not meant to be a cross, but like Taranis (celtic mythology), it represents a wheel. This wheel symbolizes the turning of life, into death.

This theory will no doubt cause much debate but to get to any answers in cases like these you have to keep asking questions, look at facts of the cases and do the best we can to make sense of the information we have. I will follow up soon with some more unsolved cases and possible areas we can look at to possibly help solve some of these horrendous crimes.
